look ma' - no brain

So - there's about a million things to say, so many things to catch up on.  But - it's not happening tonight.  The bb rolling around in my brainbox has expired.

I went to update my bio on my website, planning on using the one I'd written for the Cherry Creek Arts festival.  Re-reading the bio...  dear lord, my writing has gotten terrible.  I hate the thing.  Right now, there's exactly one sentence I enjoy out of that bio, and I'll end this quick jot with that:

"I consider the work an evolutionary path to an uncertain goal."

monster-sized

For those of who, haven't come across this, take a look (original Wired article here)

I love this.  I picture so many of my pieces this big - even thought at the same time my pieces are exactly the size they should be.

a peek at the new ridiculous vessel

It's late, I've just finished up three rings, worked on a new ridiculous vessel, and finished up Ridiculous Vessel #9.  As I was sending him through the photo shoot, one of the lights for the photo booth was knocked over, and it shot the light...  those crazy photo shoots.  So you'll have to wait for the full spread.

Meanwhile, here's a shot to tide you over, of #9 - Rob, the intergalactic avian gladiator.

if you're interested in rings...

A business note:

Sometime in the next week or so, the ring prices of my titanium rings on www.worksofman.com are going to go up - somewhere around ten to twenty percent, depending on the ring.  There's a myriad of reasons, but the simplest one is that metal costs have spiraled up for years, my rings prices haven't changed in about three years.  If you're about to order - until June 15th mention the word "rutabaga" and I'll honor the old price.

a day's notes

Today moved along a bit faster than expected - I feel as if I have been left in the dust, wondering where my ride went.

To say it another way:  I really didn't get as much done today as I would have liked.

Today was a day of organization and rings.  Mainly rings...
