I'm done for the day.  About eight more new pieces (of various sorts) on the site late tomorrow.

g'nite.

a random movie note

Meaning only to watch a few minutes of this documentary during dinner, I watched the entire thing, and then every bit of extra footage that was included on the DVD.  The documentary is called "Dark Days"...  from Netflix we have this info:

rollin' rollin' rollin'

There will be more new rings rolled out (no pun intended) onto the site this week -- more new ring styles than I've done in quite awhile.  I'm having fun with them, which means they're evolving.  And.. I'm feeling slightly caught up which means they'll also be on the site.

I'm going to Uptown Art Festival in Minneapolis, MN the 7th-9th of August; that's a big part of my focus.  It's been a great show for me, I'd like to feel prepared while I'm there.  The work time has been going well -- looks like it will all fall together just fine.

while at theCentral Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts

I'm here in State College, PA, while at the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts - ending day two of the four day show.  So far, it's been good.  The town that I'm seeing seems beautiful, bucolic, a great place to be.  Currently it's also teeming with partying college students, which I don't quite have the energy for.  I've talked to an immense number of people today, and had a ball... there's just not a lot left of Matthew's brain this evening.

lots of carving...

Just a quick post - had a bit of fun this evening, making something that may (or may not, of course) turn into something interesting.  Simple in idea... sort of a post-apocalyptic trade bead thing...  They're decedents of the automaton denticles...
a  poor image of the pieces as they are now:
They're around 3/4 to an inch long...  we'll see.

g'nite.
