and some say lectures are boring

Today has been a day of many rings, or at least the start of many rings.  Lots of good progress, although it does now seem to be about 4:30 in the morning and I have an errand or two to do yet...

There's a terrific side effect of making rings.  It is a type of working meditation for me.  Many ideas get created and/or processed.  Today was a bit odd, in that I tried something new: MIT's open courseware.  It has been on my list to put myself through these, primarily in the Electrical Engineering area.  While I couldn't always pay complete attention to it while working the lathe, it felt like an introduction to the class, and lets me soak it in, albeit a bit peripherally.  I'm definitely left with the feeling I still want to run through the classes.  There are some projects that need to be created, that I need more info for.  Yes, folks, I'm ready to make myself flashcards.  Maxwell's equation, Ohm's law...

...and hey, boring out the inside of rings is called that for a reason.  Need to do something to keep the noggin' from being filled with Jello.®

I did not, however, get the website images updated.  This will come.

First, a bit of sleep.

'nite.
