rolling rolling rolling

I'm in pretty heavy work mode right now.  I've shipped out what feels like a ton of rings, and have probably 90% of all orders done. I'm moving my brain out of "order" mode, and into "new work" mode.  Two shows are coming up: Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts and Ann Arbor's South University Art Fair, almost back to back.  There is a lot of work I need to do to have enough pieces for the two shows.  I don't think my friends here in Hannibal will be seeing much of me this week, even with the 4th of July.

It feels good to be making non-commission work; it feels like it's been awhile.  It's even a bit exciting.  I must of had more orders than I thought - I've been feeling pretty far removed from this emotion.  Orders/commissions are great, but they always take longer than work I'm making simply because I'd like to.  New work has it's own momentum, it's own energy, and it pulls me along.  I feel like I'm being thrown forward.

Seeing as that it's now almost 5am, it doesn't look like the sleeping schedule is doing so hot, though.  That's ok.

but, for now, goodnite.
