Each totem is about realizing where I'm at. Currently in a push to move my work further along, I'm remembering my early days of selling my own work. A short story for everyone:
During many of my early shows, I had the same, re-occurring nightmare. I would be in my booth at an art festival, with thousands of people streaming by. (a variation would be absolutely no-one coming by) I would be behind my cases, and inside of my cases would be my entrails. Yes, there I was, with my guts out in front of everyone.
Sounds scary to me.
Even when ones hides themselves, they show themselves in the hiding. If one creates work close to the gut, it can be odd, being out in front of everyone.
